OpenTech Forum - Women Leaders in Tech

A dedicated forum for experienced women leaders in Skåne’s tech sector, offering support, connections, and practical tools to tackle gender bias and drive meaningful change.

A sub-forum within OpenTech focused on networking for women and non-binary in senior positions. The purpose is to create a community where we support each other—by making introductions, creating opportunities to help one another succeed, and sharing practical tips for navigating everyday situations involving gender bias. Unlike most women-in-tech networks that focus on early careers, this forum is uniquely tailored for those with at least 10 years of experience, creating a space for established professionals to connect and thrive.

Why you should join the forum?

Addressing gender gaps in tech leadership: Joining our forum provides a platform to tackle the persistent gender disparities in leadership for women in tech. Together, we can drive meaningful change and create new opportunities for senior women in the industry.
Building a strong community of senior women in tech: Our forum is designed specifically for senior women in tech, offering a dedicated space to connect, collaborate, and support one another. It’s a place where you can share experiences, exchange insights, and build valuable professional relationships.
Empowering leadership and innovation: By bringing together experienced women in tech, we aim to foster an environment where senior professionals can elevate each other, advocate for greater representation, and strengthen their influence in the industry. This is about creating a forum that not only supports its members but also drives innovation and business growth.

Why women-only?

The technology sector continues to face significant gender disparities, with women being underrepresented in both technical and leadership roles. By creating women-only events, we aim to provide a supportive environment where women can share experiences, build networks, and develop skills without the pressures that often accompany male-dominated settings. Such spaces have been shown to help advance women, facilitating open discussions on challenges unique to their experiences in tech.

Senior women (at least 10 years experience), in tech sector in Skåne. Members are expected to contribute actively and clearly define their objectives within the network.

When:

We hold regular live meetings four times a year. The first meeting will be hosted on April 9, 2025 from 14:00 to 16:00.

Where:

Schneider Electric Buildings AB, Mobilvägen 10, 213 75, Lund, Sweden

Cost:

The cost to participate is 6000 kronor per year. For OpenTech members, participation is 2000 kronor per year.
