Simplifying technology for a safer tomorrow

Navigating modern technology can be a daunting task for many – whether due to age, cognitive challenges, or simply the overwhelming complexity of today’s devices. UnoQlick, has set out to change this by offering simple, intuitive solutions designed to make technology more accessible and safer for everyone. Starting with a groundbreaking app for the elderly, UnoQlick has expanded its reach to provide a broader range of services that protect vulnerable users while empowering them to stay connected and independent.

From simplicity to safety

What began as a user-friendly app designed to simplify TV management for seniors has evolved into a full-fledged solution far beyond just entertainment. With the addition of the service Protect, UnoQlick is tackling a critical issue – fraud prevention. The app has the ability to lock other apps and send notifications to family members when an elderly user tries to open something potentially harmful, such as apps that could lead to accidental purchases or fraud. It’s a straightforward tool that ensures safety without compromising ease of use for those who need it most.

Turning mom’s challenge into simpler tech

UnoQlick’s story is rooted in a personal journey. The founder’s mother, who has dementia, struggled to use a regular remote or phone. This challenge sparked the creation of an app that allows her to interact with her TV by simply pressing a picture on the screen. What started as a solution for one person has now expanded to help anyone who finds modern technology overwhelming – whether they’re elderly, younger families or individuals with cognitive issues.

The app’s flexibility extends beyond individuals to municipalities. With customizable features, local governments can use the app to share important information and events with residents in an easy-to-access way. Instead of navigating websites or complicated systems, residents can simply press a button within the app to view local happenings. This tailored functionality can be adapted to meet the specific needs of each municipality, ensuring a more connected and informed community.

Partnering with municipalities to drive growth

UnoQlick is focused on establishing meaningful connections to grow. They aim to collaborate with municipal digitalisation departments, secure partnerships with large companies and engage with experts and peers across industries. Networking through OpenTech, specifically the Power Hour-sessions, has helped them find valuable contacts, gain practical insights and connect with like-minded innovators who understand their challenges. As they work to finalise agreements and attract investors, OpenTech’s resources and community continue to play a key role in their journey toward scaling their solutions.
